We are a survey research call center since 2006. We started with 2 interviewers and consistently grew to over twenty. We have four interviewers at this time due to fluctuations in projects, but will be growing again soon.
Our staff consists of part time employees and we are very flexible with their schedules. As supervisors we have to go into the schedule and make updates quite often, depending on how many interviewers we have.

We used an Excel spreadsheet and we had a paper form that employees filled out to request time off. We then updated the schedule and printed a new copy.
The ShiftPlanning work scheduler is much more streamlined. Interviewers days are put in with a rotation, so we don’t have anything to do when the new pay period starts. The time off request are my favorite part of the software. All I have to do as a supervisor is check the approved box and the work scheduler does everything else for me.
Oh yes, we would definitely recommend the work scheduler and their team is very helpful and quick to respond to my questions. For employees it is much easier to request time off and they get a much quicker response. There are less errors in scheduling. For managers it is so much more efficient than what we were doing before. The way the time off request works employees are responsible for entering the correct dates.
